I would like to take this moment and thank you for once again for visiting the Cage. My name is Gran Roberts and I want to tell you a little about myself. I am a 24 year old illustrator/artist with a love of sports, autographs and Jesus Christ...yup, I am one of those crazy Christians you have heard soo much about, and glad to be. I am married to the most beautiful 21 year old woman in the world, Jamie Leigh. Together we have no children yet, but pray that sometime soon we will be able to start a family. Until that time comes, we will be praying about it, and I will keep doing one of the many things I love to do...collecting autographed cards of the athletes I most admire. Do I collect just anybody? Well not really...
Who I Collect & Why...
I mostly collect autographed baseball cards, but I only send to those athletes of whom I either grew up watching, collected their cards or really admire. I also send to those I have really great memories about from games I have watched growing up or those players of whom I can relate a certain time of my life too. Collecting these autographs allows me to connect to the athletes and say thanks for the great memories and the joy they have brought to me. I guess you could say I am not an "Autograph Hound" as much as I am a "Baseball Fanboy"...If I don't really recall the player or have any memories of them, then I really do not want their autograph. To me, collecting is a very personal thing, and enjoyable as well. A way of relating to my past and sharing the memories that person has brought to me. I enjoy this soo much.
